Also, he is a super interesting person and takes the time to share his background with you and genuinely get to know you. Steve arrived hours early to make sure the equipment worked properly and the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception flowed perfectly with him in charge. He played every "must-play" song on our list and with a smaller wedding of 60 people, he had 90% of the people on the dancefloor the entire time. We are *extraordinarily* picky about music, and not just picky but have standards that contradict each other. We are a DJ's worst nightmare. We frequently find issue with wedding djs when we are guests, we didn't even want to have one at ours but due to a number of factors we found it to be a necessary evil. When our event coordinator told us we had Steve Weinstein, she said he was absolutely one of the best. We trusted her but still felt trepidation, we are way too hard to please. Leading up to the big day, we received emails from Steve and sent him various lists of songs for different parts of the night. Way more than someone should send a dj. Steve never took any issue and was always concise - which made us worry he was taking it *too* easily. That was unfounded of course, when the night came it was apparent right from the start that he took it all in, got to know us via the songs we'd chosen and periodically came to talk to us if there was anything he wanted an opinion on. Steve was just amazing, the guests really enjoyed the spontaneous elements he brought as the night continued, he kept the party on schedule (there was a lot going on) and everyone had a great time. We had absolutely no complaints at all, he was ultra flexible on the night with last minute changes and I don't know how he did it but he never once stepped outside of the crazy parameters we put on him.
